Port Townsend Open

The Port Townsend Pétanque Alliance welcomes players to participate in the third PT Open, returning after a one-year hiatus with a brand new format on the same old weekend.
The 2026 PTO will be a "Doubles Twist" event, consisting of two separate one-day select doubles tournaments. The twist is that all players must have different partners if they play on both days.

Friday, August 7
Practice play, skills competitions, and pot-luck dinner
Saturday, August 8
Select Doubles Tournament
Sunday, August 9
Select Doubles Tournament with a Twist
(players must have a different partner)
Total Prize Pool for both days: $7000
First Place Concours for each day: $1500
Maximum of 38 teams per day
Three rounds of qualifying play in the morning
Elimination play in the afternoon
