2024 Low Tide Open Report

The PTPA held the Return of The Low Tide Open, 2024 Edition on Sunday, July 7 on the tide flats south of the PT Boat Haven. Thirty players competed over a couple of acres of sand, seaweed, and shallow pools of rapidly warming seawater.


Thanks to the members of Edmonds Petanque Club who made the trip to participate. Team Joan delivered a strong showing for EPC, losing in the semi-finals to the eventual champions.


Special thanks to Robert Force, originator of this trophy event, and the volunteers who assisted with the event, especially Joe Caldwell.


The recipients of the Silver Clamshell for a second-place finish: Jerry Lauth and Bob Crossley.


The 2024 CHAMPIONS, recipients of the GOLDEN CLAMSHELL and a nice bottle of sparkling wine: Loretta Hanson and Peter Wiant.
