Friday Night Social and Shooting Competition a Success

Writer: PT PetanquePT Petanque

The first ever Port Townsend Open kicked off this evening with a Friday Night Social and shooting competition.

Twenty-nine people entered the shooting competition and after the first round were whittled down to three. Tom N, Roland, and Tony. Going into the final round Roland was in the lead but Tom had narrowed it down to only 1 point, and Tony, though trailing, could still pull out a win if he played particularly well and his opponents played poorly.

At the end of it all Tom pulled ahead of Roland, resulting in Tom 1st, Roland 2nd, Tony 3rd.

Food followed the shooting competition. Thanks to Robert and Janette for arranging the salmon and salads and garlic bread, and thanks to the rest of our members who provided other dishes
