Mixed Triples Tournament on Sunday, 10/12

The PTPA Mixed Triples Championship is coming up this Sunday, 10/12, starting at 10 am. Announcements will be made at 9:45, when I will reveal round one match ups and court assignments.

We have eight teams participating. The teams will be randomly drawn into two groups of four for qualifying pool play. Pool play involves one round of matches randomly drawn. In round two, the winners of round one play each other, and the winner of that match qualifies for the semi-finals. The losing teams from round one play in round two; the loser of that match is eliminated. The winner of that match then plays the loser of the other round two match for a place in the semi-finals. Each pool will send two teams to the semi-finals in the afternoon.

Qualifying matches will be timed: 60 minutes plus one end.

At the end of pool play, we will have a 30 minute break for lunch. We will then return for semi-finals and finals.

All court assignments will be made by the tournament director.

The members of the winning team will receive medals, get some cash, have their names engraved on the Champions Trophy, and will reserve a spot on the "Win Back The Cup" team that will compete against Edmonds in September 2026.

Good luck to all our participants.

Tom C

PTPA Sports Director
