PTPA Doubles League Champions

The Doubles League concluded on Sunday with the playoffs for the titles.

Sally Holm and Bekah Howe won the Women's League final over Jeanette Reisenberg and Rhonda Lauth.

Tom Niemann and Andrew Sheldon won the Men's League final over Peter Wiant and Michael Frantz.

The winners received coveted medals to commemorate their victories, their names engraved on the permanent Champions Trophy, and perhaps most valuable of all, lock up their spots on the Cross-Sound Cup team that will take on Edmonds Pétanque Club at Ft. Worden on September 19.

Many thanks to all the members and guests who turned out to watch the matches; they were treated to high-quality play throughout the afternoon. Also special thanks to Joe Caldwell who provided a delicious spread on the picnic tables.

Next tournament is the PTPA Singles Championship on June 7. There are two divisions for that event: "Championship" for competitive tournament players and "Club" for players newer to the game and wanting to experience meaningful matches..
