PTPA Singles Tournament Coming in June

Now that the club doubles champions have been crowned, we turn our attention to the club singles tournament.

WHAT: 3-BALL Singles Tournament

WHEN: Sunday, June 11 beginning at 9:00 am and concluding with the Championship

finals in the late afternoon

WHERE: The Boulodrome

WHY: Need to engrave the Champions Trophy again

WHO: All members of PTPA should consider participating. There are two divisions:

Championship Division and Club Division. The Championship Division is for

experienced, competitive players. The Club Division is for newer players who

would like to join the fun and play in low-pressure games against other novices.

HOW: For the Championship division: timed qualifying rounds using Swiss System,

followed by untimed elimination rounds

For the Club division: depends on number of participants, probably a round-robin

ending around lunchtime.

WHAT DO I GET IF I WIN:

$ and a spot on the PTPA team that will play Edmonds Petanque Club in the

First Annual Cross-Sound Cup on October 21

Sign-ups for the Port Townsend Open in August are going well. Doubles on Saturday 8/12 has space for 19 more teams, so there's still lots of room. The 4-Ball singles on Sunday 8/13 is filling up fast, with only 9 spots remaining.
